Description

Galco’s extremely versatile Ironhide offers ambidextrous design as well as quick on-off capability. Suitable for both casual concealment and outdoor sportsman’s carry, the Ironhide carries a compact or full-size pistol high and close to the body, for good concealment even with shorter covering garments/jackets. It's also ideal for seated riding in all types of motorized vehicles, including ATVs.

Fully ambidextrous, the Ironhide allows right or left hand carry by unsnapping the holster from the belt slide, moving the belt slide to a different location on the belt, and reattaching the holster.

The Ironhide secures the pistol with a combination of hand molding and a reversible retention strap with a glove-friendly polymer tab. Release the strap and the pistol is cleared for a fast, smooth draw. The retention strap accommodates both hammer-down and cocked-and-locked carry on 1911-type pistols.

Available in tan premium steerhide, the Ironhide fits belts up to 1¾” wide.

Review for IRONHIDE BELT HOLSTER
(3.0 out of 5)
Nice but needs a little help.
Fit and finish were quite good, which is typical of Galco products. This would get 5 stars but, this design falls a tad short though with the belt slide. It needs to be thicker or a dual ply. It is already stretching under the weight of a standard 1911 with 8 round magazine. I have not used any oils or conditioners on it. It is really just a minor thing, easily fixed, but something I hope Galco takes into consideration going forward.
