Galco's Barrel Guard is constructed of full grain leather that is stitched around an aluminum form, keeping your hand securely in place and safe from the heat of the barrels. Made for 12, 16, 20,and 28 gauge side by side shotguns. Fits over splinter forends only (will not fit over beavertail forends).

Well made
The leather is excellent as is the construction. Great quality and should last. Fits my two 16 gauges perfectly and protects my hands. I would definitely buy this again.

Fit Nicely on a Beretta 627
I don’t shoot my SxS very often but when I did at the VA State Championship it became obvious at the second station, even with batting gloves on, the barrel heat was going to be an issue. I haven’t shot the gun since getting the barrel guard but I can tell just by mounting the gun it will be a huge improvement and is very well made.

GALCO BARREL GUARD.....PERFECT !
The barrel guard is very well made form top-quality materials. It fits perfectly on a Beretta 486 Mark Newsome side-by-side and the dark brown leather blends perfectly with the fine wood on this gun. It is a very useful piece for a shotgun with a splinter fore-end and will save me from hot barrels !!!
