GREAT ALASKAN CHEST HOLSTER (REVOLVERS)

While I do own belt holsters and shoulder holsters for concealed carry, this chest holster is perfect for open carry, or concealed under a coat/ parka. It can be comfortably worn all day, and can be worn two ways, with the shoulder strap over the close shoulder for a lower- towards the side holster position, or strap over the opposite shoulder for a higher- towards the chest center position. Either carry position is compatible with: an additional shoulder holster, additional belt holster, rifle sling, and pack shoulder straps. I bought this holster for carrying my hunting revolver for hunting in thick brush, but also occasionally bring a rifle as well if in a more open area, may keep an additional semi auto pistol on my belt if ranging far into remote areas, and always wear a pack when going to and from my primary stands, so this chest holster is invaluable for keeping my big bore revolver easily accessible and is compatible with all of the other gear. The retention strap tab is genius: secure when snapped, yet very quick and easy to unsnap even with gloves, and being polymer, doesn't make a metallic noise or scratch the revolver when drawing. The snap itself, contained within the polymer tab, is heavy duty metal and easily snaps one handed with a definite snapping feel that assures secureness. The quality of the holster itself is excellent, lined leather and thick, and the straps are sturdy, so if worn as an outer rig in all weather, this system is up for it.

I ordered this holster to take some weight off my hip when in the woods. I have been challenged by bears before so I carry a 44. The holster system is nicer than I expected. We'll made.

amazing quality. What i would expect from a product made in the USA/ thanks for being there. i will be carrying my new 44magnum revolver into the wind river range of Wyoming August on a fly fishing trip and then again in October on an Elk hunt .
