Description

With the success of the Kodiak Chest Holster, the Kodiak Hunter™ was sure to follow. This is the ultimate big bore scoped handgun-hunting rig. The harness was field proven with the Kodiak and the holster does everything the competition cannot do! Designed for an abbreviated draw stroke through its open top, it allows for much faster target acquisition than a typical scabbard holster.

The Kodiak Hunter comes assembled and includes holster, shoulder strap and torso strap.

Made for large framed double/single action hunting revolvers and single-shot Thompson/Center guns, the Kodiak Hunter is available in havana brown.

Big Gun Dilemma
I finally found a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter .44 mag 7 1/2 barrel put a scope on it...now what do I do with it, how do I carry it? It's too big & heavy to carry on the hip, not very practical to carry in a shoulder rig either, then I stumbled across the Galco Kodiak Hunter Chest Holster...dilemma solved - it works perfect with that set up. I did have to go with the Ruger xhigh (no. 6) rings for both the clearance on the muzzle end to clear the holster and the rear sight to not contact the scope. The Havanna Brown color is very nice, very quality holster with lots of adjustment for all body sizes. I am very pleased with this holster and would recommend it to anyone looking to carry a big pistol.

Kodiak hunter chest holster
Absolutley perfect for my 8" Colt Anaconda.(with Burris Fast Fire 3) I have my Kodiak hunter chest holster adjusted so it rides in a crossdraw style application closer to my waiste then on my chest. Plenty of room for my binoculars, very comfortable.

Kodiak Hunter Chest Holster ( scoped hand gun)
I have been looking a chest holster like this for a while! This Kodiak Hunter chest holster designed for a large scoped hand gun is an answer to my dreams! It will work for all of my 44 magnums, 454 Super Redhawk and my TC Contender in 7x30 Waters! It will work for scoped or non scoped weapons!
