Shooting Sports Month - Part 2

Here in the middle of the NSSF’s Shooting Sports Month, let’s change course slightly and discuss sporting arms – rifles and shotguns. Did you know Galco offers a number of rifle accessories and a large Sporting Collection product line for clay target sports like skeet, trap and Sporting Clays?

Galco has some very fine rifle accessories, including marksman slings like the Safari Ching (developed with the late Eric Ching) and RifleMann (developed with the very-much-alive Richard Mann) slings, as well as traditional comfort-carry slings like the Braided Cobra and Tapered Rifle slings. Some other favorites are the leather Butt Cuff for on-board carry of spare ammo, and the Recoil Pad to help tame heavier-recoiling rifles and shotguns.

The Sporting Clays and range bags, like the Deluxe Field Bag made of Premium Latigo leather, are superbly constructed and will last a lifetime. And let’s not forget the ammo carriers like the Safari Five, Field Grade Culling Belt, and the very useful Stalker cartridge wallet, which is a great companion to my Winchester model 70 in .30-06.

My favorite, though, is the Field Grade Breakdown Case. Made of khaki cotton duck lined with acrylic fleece, it fits side-by-side and over-under shotguns with barrels up to 30". Reminiscent of the old “mutton leg” cases of yesteryear, it’s a compact alternative to long and sometimes ungainly hard plastic gun cases. I even tried one out for one of my classic rifles: a Remington Model 81 semi auto rifle in .35 Remington. Check out that picture. Pretty cool, huh?

So don’t forget Galco for your next big game hunt, African safari, or clay target shoot – you’ll be happy you did. And best of all, the entire Sporting Collection is on sale right now to celebrate Shooting Sports Month!
