Description
Featuring an open top design for speed, covered trigger for safety, and tension screw adjustment for added security, the highly versatile Speed Master™ 2.0 adds convenient on/off ability to the equation when set up as a paddle holster. As a bonus, the Speed Master 2.0 can also be configured as a solid and stable belt holster using the included belt slot attachment.
The Speed Master 2.0’s excellent versatility derives from its included twin attachment methods – an adjustable belt slot and a paddle – that are quickly and easily interchangeable by the end user. A flat-headed screwdriver is the only tool needed to swap one attachment for the other, giving the gun carrier the choice of two carry methods: the convenient paddle design or the stable and traditional belt slot.
A Belt Drop is also available as an option. It can increase the speed of the draw, sit clear of equipment ranging from rain gear to body armor, ride below a backpack’s waist straps, and make the draw easier for short-waisted and/or female shooters.
Constructed of premium steerhide, the Speed Master 2.0 fits belts up to 1 3/4".
Available for semiauto pistols and DA revolvers, the Speed Master 2.0 is available in right hand designs in tan or black finish.

To that end I actually have two other holsters I've gotten from Galco for that model of pistol. One is an old (think from the 80's) Concealable Belt Holster, one is a Yaqui Slide. Now this Speed Master 2.0 has joined the others. If I was to tell you all the wonderful things I think about this holster, you'd think I was a paid advertiser for Galco (I'm not). So I'll try to be brief. First off, lets talk about the dual options for mounting, the paddle works great and lends itself easily to situations where the 'law' changes every fifty feet and there are times when you must leave your gun in your vehicle or pack it away in a bag or such quickly. Still the paddle works well, keeps the pistol in place and is solid enough for regular use and easy enough to put back in place giving you a lot of freedom of movement. The option to make it a belt mount improves the utility of the holster by allowing you to strap it on properly and go without fear of it slipping around your waist or sliding out (which my experience with the paddle says doesn't happen much, but could be a concern if your in and out of a vehicle a lot). The leather, like everything from Galco is top notch and when not covered is attractive and actually makes some of my pistols look even better (we are talking about working guns here, not show items) and some of my friends have admired the nice leather with the different guns. The draw for me is natural and smooth with re-holstering being just as easy, the guide space for the front sight seeming to help guide the pistol back into place. Retention, once the simple 'break in / blocking' is completed, is easily done with a single screw that you can set to your own preference, making the holster as secure as you need it to be while still giving that ease of access you want.
Bottom line. Looks good, works great. Worth the price? Absolutely.
