A Belt-Drop is also available as an option. It can increase the speed of the draw, sit clear of equipment ranging from rain gear to body armor, ride below a backpack’s waist straps, and make the draw easier for short-waisted and/or female shooters.

Constructed of premium steerhide, the Speed Master 2.0 fits belts up to 1 3/4".

Available for semiauto pistols and DA revolvers, the Speed Master 2.0 is available in right hand designs in tan or black finish.

Review for SPEED MASTER 2.0 BELT HOLSTER (AUTOS)
(4.0 out of 5)
Excellent craftsmanship.
Used CLP on the inside of the holster when I got it and have drawn a few hundred times since in order to break it in. Now my 1911 slides out quickly. I have one complaint and will take a star away as a result. If you draw vertically out of the holster, the front sight will catch and your 1911 will flip out of your hand. Now it’s pew pew time with no pew. The top front of this holster needs a slit. I may cut a slit in it. Granted, this happened twice out of hundreds of draws. If that holster snags your sight, no matter how fast you are, you will be standing there staring at your 1911 laying on the ground. If it’s at a match, they’ll probably cry, pout, throw a tantrum and DQ you.

Thanks for the positive review, Dude!

Just a couple of quick things:

We provide clear instructions on how to quickly and easily break in your leather holster without laboriously doing hundreds of draws. It just takes a couple of Ziploc-type kitchen bags. These instructions are in the Product Information Guide that comes with every holster we ship, and also in our online FAQ.

Frankly, if you did 298 perfect draws and then two where the front sight caught, the issue very probably isn't the holster. Much more likely is a minor inconsistency in the draw stroke that's only showing up very occasionally (most commonly when tired after a bunch of draws).

One thing to look out for is "bowling" in your draw motion - basically applying forward pressure on the pistol before it clears leather. This often causes the sight/leather contact you're describing. Just work on coming straight up out of the holster before pushing out and you should be good.

Excellent
This holster is very comfortable and fits very nicely on the Springfield 1911 that I carry. Also, I never worry about losing the farm when it's in. It does very good at maintaining retention
