Description
Initially introduced in 2003, the SSS has been updated based on Galco’s experience and market feedback in the intervening years.
Constructed of premium steerhide, the improved Side Snap Scabbard retains the quick on-off snap loops that fit belts up to 1 1/2”. The open top design remains the same, with the addition of a reinforced mouth for smooth and easy one-handed return to the holster. New to the SSS is a slight butt-forward cant, in contrast to the steeper angle of the earlier version. It keeps the adjustable tension unit and the comfortable, highly concealable forward-molded design of its predecessor, while adding a raised sweat guard to protect both the firearm and the gun carrier. Taken together, these features add up to a holster that is secure and convenient yet concealable with a very fast draw!
The improved Side Snap Scabbard is offered for right or left hand draw in black color.

Good for the price
Since Alessi is local for me, I've always been buying their products, without a doubt, still my opinion that they are the best, however, since the owners death (Tom), waiting six months or more for a holster is too long, so a friend suggested Galco, for the price, it can't be beat, quality is very good, I'm not complaining at all, will probably purchase more after a few months of use so I can see how it holds up.

Custom quality
I have an Alessi CQC-S that I carried an STI Ranger in for quite a long time. It was the best OWB holster i'd ever worn, hands down. I wanted something similar to carry my S&W Shield 45 but did not want the wait time for the Alessi. I ordered the Galco SSS and mag carrier. I could not be happier. The fit and finish is excellent. It carries close and conceals as well as my IWB holsters without the discomfort. The older I get, the less I like to carry IWB and this is a perfect compromise. With the snaps it also offers easy on and off like a paddle but the security of a belt-through design. This will be my go to holster for years to come. Thanks Galco!

Purchased this holster for a 1911 Springfield Professional. Great fit and functional holster. Will purchase this holster for another make of pistol I own.
