SUMMER COMFORT IWB HOLSTER - Holds it shape even under belt pressure. Awesome Holster.

My wife and I are newly licensed gun owners, so take my words with a grain of newbie “salt.”

While we’re new at this, we are being trained by very experienced Israeli army and counterterrorism weapons experts. We are Israeli citizens (with two combat-reservist sons, one of whom has participated in the war in Gaza) who feel the need to protect ourselves and our family, so we carry for serious utilitarian reasons, 100% of the time we’re out of the house.

This holster, with the extra belt loops purchased to fit 3 different belt sizes and colors, has become part of me. It holds my Smith & Wesson Shield Plus comfortably and securely in 3:30 position, with so little apparent “print” on my lean 6’ frame, that other than office colleagues who also carry, no one seems to realize I’m wearing my gun.

After a bit of break-in, the gun is nicely held in place but comes out easily and quickly when I draw.

Some complain about the lack of a slide-guard in Galco’s version of the venerable Summer Special design. It’s been a non-issue for me; when I feel the gun against my skin, it’s only the butt. Fuether, I really like that this holster is very small and low profile, and very suitable for the summer Middle Eastern heat and humidity, when I leave our Jerusalem home for coastal Tel Aviv where my office is. The finished-leather outside of the holster feels comfortable against my body.

The Summer Special is very nicely built and styled. I whole heartedly recommend it!
