Glad I Spent the Money
I CC a Glock 21 gen 4. I've tried various inexpensive holsters and I couldn't find one that struck the balance between comfort, durability, and concealment. I decided to try this shoulder system even though it seems like the vast majority of people use IWB holsters for CC. If you CC a bigger gun I highly recommend this system. It holsters the weapon at a canted angle which prevents it from printing on your shirt. The leather and fasteners on this system are fantastic and everything feels good - no chaffing or jagged pieces anywhere. It's really important that you read the instructions and assemble this system correctly. It took me a few days of use before I found my final, perfect adjustments and trimmed the excess leather. DO NOT rush that process - wear it for a few days because it's likely you will cycle through different adjustments.
This is the best system for anyone who doesn't mind wearing an over-shirt (flannel, button up, etc.) and it works perfectly under a suit jacket. The only hesitation I had about this shoulder holster was the price. It took me a couple days to feel comfortable buying it. My concern was, at this price point, even if the holster was good it wasn't worth the money. Wow was I wrong. I'd recommend this system - even at this price - to anyone in a heartbeat. If you're committed to concealed carry, I think it's better to spend the money now and set this system up correctly than it is to buy several less expensive holsters which compromise on either comfort, durability, or concealment. If you go cheap and use a CC system which isn't ideal then you're inevitably going to CC less often, and you don't want to encounter a situation where you wish your gun and didn't. As an additional note: I don't use the tie downs because I'm too tall. If you're 6'0 or taller with a proportionate torso I don't think the tie downs will work for you. It's not a huge concern because if you set the adjustments properly your weapon won't be swinging around unless you're doing crossfit or running obstacle courses.
