Description

The Original Jackass Rig™ was reintroduced for Galco International’s 30th Anniversary. Galco’s predecessor, "The Famous Jackass Leather Company," first introduced this shoulder system in 1970. It features a horizontal holster that can be adjusted to a more diagonal carry position than our Miami Classic or MCII, attaching to the harness with our swivel connectors.

The ammo carrier has a streamlined yet secure design, while the Premium Center Cut Steerhide™ harness provides unparalleled concealment opportunities, greater adjustment and comfort. All four points of the center cut steerhide harness can pivot independently and are connected by our unique clover-shaped Flexalon™ swivel back plate, which is a Galco trademark.

The Jackass Rig includes holster, harness, ammo carrier and a set of polymer harness fasteners. The Jackass Rig is fully modular, and optional accessories may be purchased separately.

Made for semiautomatic pistols, the Jackass Rig is available in right and left hand draw in black finish.

Harness fits chests to 52".

HIGHEST QUALITY I'VE KNOWN SINCE 1974
At 71, I still favor steel and gunleather for my EDC. I received and fitted a new Galco "Jackass" for my S&W 1911SC Performance Center .45. Since I was a young Police Officer in upstate NY, I have only purchased Galco leather for all my carry weapons. The new Jackass is perfect! Once fitted (patience required) and broken, in this amazing and beautiful system carries my .45 so comfortably I forget I'm wearing it. Once adjusted the rig fits closely and does not print at all through my cover shirts. If you want a comfortable way to proudly carry a full size weapon...BUY THIS HOLSTER NOW!!!

The best of them all
After buying and trying several Galco shoulder holsters out of curiosity, such as the Miami Classic and the Vertical System, I can easily say this one is the best in terms of comfort and concealment for all types of situations. I am pretty skinny, I carry a full size gun and I sit a lot so you might think it would be either uncomfortable or badly hidden but this holster makes no compromise.
This is the closest thing we'll ever get from Sonny Crockett's holster, unless a havanna brown/tan plain colored Jackass Rig ever comes out. And I'll be there for it.

Perfect for a full size semi-auto
I purchased the Galco Jackass shoulder rig to carry my Glock 20. I am 6 ft tall and 190 lb, and when carrying the full-size Glock 20 on my body size I need the upward muzzle cant of the Jackass rig to prevent printing in the front or back. I chose the double mag carrier to balance the weight of the gun on the other side, and I find the shoulder harness to be well-balanced and very comfortable. I plan to get another shoulder rig for my Glock 43x. However, the smaller 43x will conceal completely under my arm in a horizontal position, so I will get a regular horizontal shoulder rig for that gun because the horizontal draw stroke is more natural for me than the downward draw stroke required with the Jackass Rig. The canted carry position of the Jackass shoulder rig allows me to completely conceal my Glock 20, and I am very satisfied with this holster.
