The Single Action Outdoorsman holster is great for field carry whether hunting or for peace of mind in bear country.
The SAO™ can be worn strong side or crossdraw at the user’s discretion. The holster employs a retention strap for simplicity and security in the brush. Tension screw adjustments allow for a custom fit to your revolver.
Constructed of premium steerhide, the SAO fits belts up to 1 3/4".
Made for single-action revolvers, the Single Action Outdoorsman is available in right and left hand designs in tan.

Just Like Mama Used To Make
OK, so Mama didn't do Gunleather but She Sure made mighty fine Cornbread. Perfect with Sapphire Martini's. I'm absolutely delighted with my Galco crossdraw holster for my Super Black Hawk and Old Vaccaro. Both have 7.5 inch barrels and the fit could not be better. Draws smoothly and quick. As a side note, my Glock 23 Galco holster is pushing 20 now and still looks and functions Great!
Like I stated earlier in my belt review I've always been completely satisfied with Galco products right down to the new car leather smell.
My Wife even found me more attractive when wearing my new rig. Well I'd hope so anyway.
Please create Galco Gunleather aftershave and I'll buy a quart.

SAO Strong side / Cross draw holster
Ordered this holster for a New Model Blackhawk, 4 5/8". Perfect fit! Love the way the trigger is covered. Not so much a safety issue, but a very nice design for a field holster.

Great All-Around Holster
After a lot of searching online from plain Jane cheap holsters up through $300+ custom holsters, I felt this was great bang for the buck. After getting the holster in hand I was pleased with the quality, thickness and molding of the leather. My Ruger Bisley Vaquero (1993-2005) model with 5 1/2” barrel & tall custom front sight fits just right. A bit snug at first but after having the gun in the holster for a couple weeks, it fits just right!! And the tall serrated front sight does not drag on the leather on the way out. The fact that you can wear this holster strong side and cross draw, along with all the features already listed, I believe makes this one of the best all around holsters you can buy!! Especially in this price range.
