I finally bought it!
I've been "eye-balling" this holster for a very long time, but I kept putting-off buying it. The SAO is a very heavy-duty rig that I will use to carry my "Super-Single-Six" in when hunting, camping, or exploring the back woods. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
My decision to buy it finally came because one of my other Big-Name-Brand / NON_Galco holsters fell apart! That holster, also for a revolver, is made out of "ballistic" nylon cloth with a molded plastic belt slide on it. The plastic that the slide is made out of simply disintegrated, as so often happens with plastic when it ages, or is exposed to petroleum oils. This time, my revolver almost ended up falling onto a concrete floor, had I not caught it as the holster disengaged from my belt. Now, this isn't the first such NON-Galco holster that this has happened to in my collection. It is the second! I never had an all leather holster do this, especially one made by Galco. I have Galcos that date-back to the origin of the company and they're still in fine shape, although some show wear from extreme use, but none have even come close to not performing as designed. None ever failed, especially in the stitching. Of all my holsters, my Galcos are the best.
