Description
The renowned Yaqui Slide was ushered into the modern era of holster design in 1992 when Galco achieved yet another industry first: adding a set of independent tension screw adjustments, allowing for a custom fit to the firearm and micro-adjustment of the draw stroke.

The minimalist design and near-vertical carry angle make the Yaqui Slide very fast to draw from, while securing the firearm during everyday activity. The belt channel on most Yaquis has a circular cut-out for placement on the pant loop to prevent shifting of the holster.

The open-muzzle Yaqui design is a favorite of those who own multiple barrel lengths of the same gun model. Constructed of premium steerhide, the Yaqui Slide fits belts up to 1 3/4".

Made for semiautomatic pistols, the Yaqui Slide is made in right or left hand designs and is available in tan or black finish.

Excellent
I have several S&W J frames. 2”,3”, and 4” barrels. It works great for all of them and exceeds my expectations for versatility and quality of materials.

Review for YAQUI SLIDE BELT HOLSTER
(3.0 out of 5)
Decent Bikini Holster, with quirks.
I own this in both the belt as well as the paddle format. I own a full size 1911-A1 as well as a compact. The pistol friction fits snug, and deep enough to protect the trigger. I like this design very much. Allows for a very rapid draw and easy to reholster. I would recommend this design as a belt as well as paddle. Being a bikini it is very easy to carry a longslide as well. The reason I give it three stars is: the two tension screws are what holds the whole thing together. Last night in Walmart, the screws came loose as I was walking down an isle. My 1911-A1 fell to the concrete muzzle first, causing a small ding on the side of the muzzle, and I had to have my wife stick it in her purse so we could leave the store. Luckily, only one person saw that happen. I got it home and used blue locktite on it heavily and reset the tension. They need the holster Stitched on both sides, and not rely upon tension screws that can work loose over time to hold it together. Paddle version: The paddle version uses a steel plate on the inside to form the U channel to make up the rear of the holster by the paddle. Over time, it bent. My paddle version has a little wobble to it now. Other than that, it is fine. I need to get that one out and locktite it like my belt holster so I do not have a re run of what happened to me in Walmart.

[The best way to monitor the tension units is to set them at 12-and-6 o'clock or 3-and-9 o'clock. This way you can tell at a glance if they've started to loosen. Unfortunately, it's in the nature of screws to unscrew. - Galco CS]
