"I have this holster for a S&W 442 that I carried daily for about 10 years, and other than a scuff mark or two it is "good as new", and that particular model has some stretch fabric to assist in retention, and I do not hesitate to wear that holster knowing that it has stayed serviceable for more than 25 years. Now with all that said, when I saw that GALCO has a model to fit my Glock 26 I ordered right away. After wearing it for about the last two and a half weeks I am still impressed by GALCO's quality, design, and price. Some holsters do sting the wallet when purchased, however, it's not so bad knowing that it will not need to be replaced, ever! Unless you lose it or something weird happens. I have 3 different Jackass rigs, 3 different ankle gloves, several different magazine pouches (for different style mag's), and several belt holsters for SIG, 1911's, and Glocks, and a couple revolvers that makeup my selection of every day carry holsters, of which 99.9% percent of the time I carry two pistols, reloads, and also wear the GALCO "cop ankle band" I think it's called with a flashlight quickclot sponge and vacuum-sealed roll gauze. I know I strayed off topic a little, but I could not think of reviewing one GALCO holster without committing on the quality of every piece that I have bought from them over the last three decades. I still have (and wear) my very first "jackass rig" for a 1911. So without hesitation, I give GALCO 5 stars for the Hornet belt holster for the Glock 26, as well as every other holster I've gotten from them. "I just picked up the KingTuk for my Glock 23. I had been using a DeSantis B6 with a single clip. The B6 rode too low and didn't have the same stability and was near impossible to reholster. The KingTuk has great weight distribution along the two belt clips and holds the pistol at a much higher angle making it much easier to draw and reholster. I'm very satisfied with this product after carrying for a day. The height and positioning (between 4 and 5 o'clock) of this holster with the wider weight distribution didn't make me feel uncomfortable seated as the aforementioned holster. It also didn't feel like it was tugging on the single clasp, pulling my pants down. Long story short, KingTuk is a great product. When summer comes, I'll probably wish Cabela's had the Air version!"

"I have been Active Duty Army for 12 years and have done 5 tours between Afghanistan and Iraq. I am an expert in selecting a good OWB holster for open carry. Having said that, I spent the better part of the last 6 months searching for a good IWB holster for my Glock 19. I now have a Bianchi, Don Hume, Raven Concealment, Relentless Tactical, and a Blackhawk holster all for IWB that I will never use because I purchased the Galco KingTuk. The holster is very well made and will certainly withstand the test of time. I don't have to try hard at all to avoid printing because the holster pulls the pistol grip tight against me, preventing a hard edge from sticking off my side. I will say, it was a tough choice to get the King Tuck over the Scout Gen2, but who knows what the future holds. "I am writing this to express my positive opinion of your products. I have been a sworn law enforcement for about ten years now. The first thing I did once I became a road officer was purchase a Glock 36 and an ankle holster for carry as a back up weapon while I was working. One of my co-workers recommended a Galco Ankle Glove, so not knowing much I bought one and starting using it. I have worn that holster everyday I have worked for ten years, and it has never moved, shifted, or felt unstable. In 2007 I was involved in a car crash while trying to get to someone who needed help. "The purpose of this correspondence is to commend Galco on one of its many fine products. I entered law enforcement as a police officer back in 1998. Back then the popular form of off duty carry for many police officers was to wear a "fanny pack" that could carry either your full size or a smaller off duty weapon. My first holster was the Escort Waistpack to carry my Glock Model 19. Over time I have purchased and used many of Galco's IWB, kydex paddle,belt loop style and ankle holsters for my multiple sized Glocks. However, there is only one holster that I have used consistantly over the years on a daily basis. That holster is my Escort Waistpack. This holster works great for all sizes of my Glocks. I live in Texas and it gets hot here. This holster works great for warm weather concealment. The holster has stood the test of time. The nylon has not torn, nor has the neoprene holster. I am amazed that this holster has held up so well after years so much abuse. The other day the holster has finally shown its age. The zipper on the outside compartment (not the weapon zipper) failed. The weapon still can be concealled, but my wallet, badge and cell phone now can fall out. So it is time to retire the holster. I just wanted to send this quick note saying it was a great holster and after 16 years of consistant use, it was well worth the money. Although, the "fanny pack" has fallen out of favor, I am sure I will buy another one. Thank you again for making such a great product!"

"Just wanted to let you know how one of your holsters performed: My summer carry is a Ruger LCP.380 in a Galco STO486 Stow-N-Go. Winter carry is a Walther PPK/s in its own Galco Stow-N-Go. My wife and I own a tractor trailer so I must be discreet and able to crawl around equipment, unload, etc. A couple weeks ago on August 5th I was on my way home from where we park the truck on my motorcycle (Harley Davidson Ultra Classic). At the worst possible time a vehicle coming the other way made a left turn in front of me. The collision could not be avoided and I basically bounced off the passenger side of her vehicle and fell onto the pavement. I was able to stand up and the first person on the scene was a man who asked me if I was o.k. When I said I was o.k. he told me "I am a plainclothes cop". I said "I appreciate that, just so you know- I am carrying". He said "I appreciate that-where is it?" We were both impressed the gun - the Ruger LCP - was still in the holster! He estimated I impacted the vehicle at 10-15mph! I tell people all the time how nice these holsters are - great retention, easy draw, comfortable,etc. Now we have absolute proof of the great retention. "Just wanted to thank you guys for making such a great product in the Triton. Having tried several hybrid holsters for concealed carry, I finally threw in the towel. They just do not work for me, at least not with a full-size firearm (XD .40 service model). Sure they distribute the weight well, but they are a PITA to put on or take off and they require me to jump from a 36" to 38" waistband (then add a longer belt to boot). I needed something different. After seeing the beat up, no frills Kydex holster Rob Pincus had been using in several of his older videos, I started looking for a comparable model to try. I settled on the Triton because it had all the features I was looking for (slim design, twin adjustment screws, polished edges, and full sweat guard), had excellent reviews, and also happened to be the cheapest by at least $20. Man, am I glad I bought this holster! Quality is top notch: this thing is built to last and then some. After making sure to tune the tension screws, this holster works like a charm. The only change in my wardrobe necessary is to loosen my belt by one notch: with that the holster goes on without discomfort and holds my gun solidly. Yet if I need to draw the weapon, it releases smooth and easy! Even with frequent sitting and standing, the holster stays where I put it without shifting around. If I need to take the gun off (going into a bank or government building, for instance), pulling out lightly on the bottom of the belt clip allows for easy removal of the weapon while leaving it safely holstered (no open trigger in a glovebox or under-seat lockbox). This also makes switching to a paddle holster for around the house quick and painless. I genuinely could not be happier with this holster. The quality is great, the price is definitely right, and wearing my gun no longer feels like a chore the way it did with the hybrids. I've already ordered another for my Glock 19 and when I finally get that M&P Shield I've been eyeballing, it will get one as well. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!"

"During my last hunt in South Africa and Zimbabwe I had the opportunity to really try the Safari Ching Sling ........... I shot 5 Warthogs and 1 Bushpig free hand with the support from the sling and I must say it helped a lot. Even a frontal shot at 80 yards on a Warthog was no problem to get steady with it. On the weekend of September 10th, one of your reps by the name of Bob was at Bill's Gun Shop in Robbinsdale, Minnesota for their semi-annual gun show. He did an excellent job answering questions and showing off your products. "I'll let you know how I found about your company.... The Commanding General of the (edited) Marine Air Wing was wearing the same rig when I was in his neck of the woods about two weeks ago - he said it was really comfortable. I am an infantryman and served as a rifle company commander during OIF I. Since I was operating at the tactical level and lived in a flak jacket, helmet and gear for seven months, I always had a leg holster - it's most practical and affords the quickest draw when needed. But honestly, most folks buy those because they look cool. The truth is that after a few days of continuous wear, most end up hating them. Leg holsters pull your belt down all day (it really doesn't matter how thick or tough your belt is when it's 120 degrees and you've sweated through it), they make it difficult to run/sprint, and when you sit on the ground (as grunts do all the time), the magazine well drags in the dirt. The types that say they really like leg holsters are either not grunts, or if they are infantry, they're probably a special operator type that doesn't get dirty often. This time around, I am serving as just one of the guys on a large headquarters staff (edited). So, I can now carry my weapon in a more comfortable manner - for obvious reasons, we have our weapons on 24/7. For about a month prior to coming over this time, I looked on the internet for something better than the military issue, green Bianchi M9 holster - too bad I was ignorant about your company. I'm glad I have the order in now.... and I think I'll be very happy with your product, when it arrives. If you like, you can send me some brochures and I'll hand them out to folks on the staff here, (edited) the old tankers holster (meant for the .45) or a ……. nylon shoulder rig... I don't think anyone is very happy with what they're wearing, especially wearing it 24/7."

"I have used Ankle Holsters for the past 20 years & thought them all equal in comfort & quality. I have several Galco products, paddles & belt holsters, but never an Ankle Glove. On a whim I ordered an Ankle Glove for my Kahr PM9 and received it a few weeks ago. All I can say is thank you. The leather in the holster is superior to the material others use. The sheepskin patch makes this by far the most comfortable I've ever experienced. "I took my banteng on the third day of hunting on the Cobourg Peninsula of Australia. We hunted on foot in dense Eucaplytus groves with thick brush, and I shot from a braced, standing position at 60 yards. For Water Buffalo we hunted along the Koolatong River in Arnhemland. On the second day I took a 60-yard braced standing shot in dense cover to secure my buffalo. "I took this sable on 25 May 2004 in Zambia, using a Blaser R93 Synthetic in 9.3x62 equipped with a Safari Ching Sling. The shot was about 60-80 yards and the bull was face-on, but quartering about ten degrees to his right. The sling helped steady the rifle in an improvised half-standing, half-prone position so that I was able to place the shot precisely inside and slightly above the point of his shoulder, aiming at the arteries above his heart. At the shot he fell in his tracks. I should also add that I carried my spare ammo in your "Stalker" belt carrier with nary a problem. The Safari Ching Sling also helped me cleanly drop an impala at over 200 yards with one shot from a similar improvised position. It works!"

I was really worried at first about having to cut the stock of my gun to mount a recoil pad so I decided to look at slip on pads. "I wanted to give you a testimonial on your KingTuk holster. I am a CCW holder in the state of Oklahoma, and I carry a Commander length 1911 (.45 acp) daily. I like tons of others who carry have a drawer of holsters that I do not use for various reasons. I carry IWB for optimum concealment. As of late I have been borrowing a friends 'summer special' style holster, I love it except since I am a little larger around the waist the gun moves some and I find myself constantly adjusting it. I read all of the magazines that deal with concealed carry, paying special attention to the issues that have holster buyers guides. Recently I saw an article that featured the KingTuk. Although it is awkward looking I decided to head toward my local gun shop (which caters mostly to law enforcement, leaving very little choice for ccw carry and virtually no 1911 holster selection). After finding a parking spot in the 4th and last shop I finally saw one and after careful inspection and the fact there were no other holsters except nylon hip holsters for the 1911, I decided to buy it (for a substantially lower price than the 'summer special' style holsters. Since I have been wearing the KingTuk I am converted. I thought that it would be uncomfortable and awkward to wear. Boy was I wrong, this is the most comfortable holster I have ever worn. Standing, sitting, driving, walking, it doesn't matter what your doing this thing is INCREDIBLE!! It doesn't move around on your hip. It stays where you put it. And it's comfortable also, the overall size of it distributes the weight of your gun throughout your whole hip to keep it very stable. Being able to tuck my shirt in over it will be a God send in the Oklahoma summer. I can not tell you enough how much I love this holster!"

"I have always been a big fan of Galco Holsters. I believe I only own two non-Galco holster (one issued by the Army and the other is for my open pistol matches). When I deployed to Iraq in 06, I wanted a Galco holster and when contacted the company and supplied the info the Rep sent a Miami Classic from his own collection. I used for an entire year and kept it until one of my soldiers deployed a few months later. I gave it to him for his tour and he loved it. This year, I was back at my old duty station at a conference and met with him again to re-coup lost times. I recently purchased the S1H shoulder holster for my 3" Ruger SP101, SSH shoulder harness, and SCA32 cartridge holder to hold two speed strips. Everything being designed to work as a complete system makes all the difference in the world for correct, proper and comfortable gun carry. Quality, Fit, Function and Comfort as I have never had before. It took me a long time to get here but now that I have, I am a Galco customer for good! I have read that the Fit of the Harness, Holster and other system products is so good that a belt and tie downs many times are not really needed. The articles are right on, when properly fitted I felt that the harness system was a part of me and did truly blend under my suitcoat even with the oversize grips I have on my 3" SP101. Later I bought the SB9 Belt and Miami Classic Tie Down Sets for when activity became more rigourous. The heavy duty Belt is the only Belt I have ever used with my custom cross draw holster that didn't sag and flop around under the weight of my SP101. The firearm stays put and in place. And later still I bought the SST Off Side Tie Down for when I wanted to go really slim underneath my suitcoat. And again slim, trim and comfortable. Read the Instructions and follow the Tips and you will be a happy customer. I am so pleased with every aspect of my Galco Gunleather products that I plan to outfit all of my handguns with them. "Galco, I'm not normally one to take the time to write reviews on a product, but I'm so impressed by your merchandise that I just had to stop by to say thanks. In the last few months I've purchased both a Stow-N-Go IWB holster and a Classic Lite shoulder harness, and I am EXTREMELY happy with BOTH, but in particular this harness. For the price, you absolutely can't beat it. I live in the Phoenix area and it is light and cool enough to wear even during the hot summer months. It conceals well and is comfortable enough to be worn all day (in fact, sometimes I forget I'm wearing it at all). Like any new holsters, you need to practice your draw to get it down pat, but I'd recommend both of these to anyone. In fact, I'm not only writing to you, but I'm also reviewing these products on the websites I purchased them from.
